I perform a number of roles for the Institute, including application development, data analysis, and building marketing automations. The applications and automations are built with an array of tools, platforms, and frameworks, including Mongo/Express/React/Node web applications utilizing WordPress/WP-API for content management, React Native for mobile applications, AWS Lambda, and ActiveCampaign. In a broader sense, I am responsible for developing and managing the Institute's technology portfolio, authoring and applying policies concerning security and data management, growing and deepening participation in the Institute's educational platform, and overseeing the day-to-day agile development process.

My duties over the years at Navy Federal were varied. They included extensive application development, architectural input and oversight for multiple concurrent projects, and for a number of years I managed the development of a large scale, enterprise banking application. I at times led teams of up to 10+ people, and I was often an architectural resource to project teams by providing business and technical knowledge, awareness of existing enterprise infrastructure, and assistance with input and review especially during design and development phases. I worked with a number of technologies and platforms over the years with a special emphasis in projects where Java middleware, web services, and web and native mobile application development was involved.
