About Christopher Cain

I have just over 24 years of experience in core networking and architecture, with 18+ years of specialized emphasis in the sales, support, and design of anything DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and IPv6 related.I have had the opportunity over these years to work in many environments (primarily Fortune 1000), including HealthCare, Finance, Education, Government, and Military/Defence (to name a few). My strengths range from the planning, research, implementation, and deployment of networking environments (primarily DDI) to the post-install troubleshooting and maintenance of these deployments. Additionally, I have many years of experience with value-based selling, architecting, and recommending networking, routing, software, and DDI/IPv6 solutions as a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer. I am goal-oriented, extremely personable, and genuinely love what I do. My goals are simple - to never stop learning, and to advance my career through personal and professional growth.

Starting April 2016, I was the Sales Engineering Team Lead responsible to the newly created Inside Sales Team. • Comfortably maintained anywhere from 4:1 to 12:1 Salesperson-to-SE ratio at any given time.• Helped reduce overall Sales Cycle considerably by focusing on key criteria very early on, and by specifically focusing on selling value as the primary criteria. For example, what are the drivers prompting a potential client to do anything, to do it now as opposed to later, and why with BlueCat. Other criteria used was: Am I speaking with the right person (i.e. - decision maker)?; Is this part of a budgeted project?; What are the timelines?; etc.• Extremely comfortable and confident speaking with anyone, regardless of position. • Specific SE-focused strengths include Demos, White-Boarding, Q&A, Building ROI's, RFP/RFI Technical Responses, Technical Visio Diagrams & Architecture Designs, POC and Evaluation Validation & Management, Peer Mentoring & Training.
