I oversee all domestic engineering and manufacturing of custom and standard lighting fixtures. I'm also responsible for quoting all custom requests, and modification to any standard products. I work hand and hand with sales teams and support them with any technical details and information needed. I conduct quality reviews and report for all our imported product, ensuring they comply with UL regulations.

My main function is to be the liaison between the customer and manufacturing. I have direct interaction with the customer to better understand the scope of all projects and to ensure we design and produce exactly what the customer requested. Then I enter the projects in the design department and strategically schedule them with the appropriate designer based on the complexity and strict customer timelines.

We design and build modular wiring systems for both Lighting and Under Floor Power. We also layout, build and smart ship electrical device assemblies ideal for repetitive room types.

I'm in charge of all aspects of our domestic manufacturing. I directly communicate with our customers and their designers on the fixtures concepts and designs in order to be manufactured. I generate all shop drawings from specification sheets,hand sketches and conversations. Once approved I generate detailed drawings of all components needed to manufacture our custom lighting fixtures. I also manage our domestic factory, where I delegate daily tasks, for our fabrication, finishing, assembly and packing departments. I also give the employees their performance reviews, where we set goals and milestones for each individual. I have also developed standards of procedure for the company to ensure quality and efficiency. When I started with Royal Lighting I was 1 of 3 employees and now I manage 19 out of 25 and I still wear many hats and do whatever it takes to ensure projects are completed and delivered on time, within our customers' restricted time frames.

I started off working with the designers on new concepts and product lines. I would engineer any and all components that need to be machined, bent, formed, cut and welded. I also worked with the fabrication department on detailed drawings, designs and laser components. I then worked my way up to working on custom build orders. This would be a design that was presented to us for us to engineer and build. I was responsible for bill of materials, detailed shops, assembly shops, and Instruction sheets. I would always build and and assemble the first prototype before we ran production. Once the fixture/fixtures went into production, I would manage and quality check all components including fabrication of raw materials, finishing - whether it was paint, powder or plating, assembly and packing. In between projects I would work on new designs and product lines for a yearly company catalog.
