Sports. My passion is sports because I have spent my youth and adult life studying, reading, competing, officiating, and commenting on them. I also know that the world can do a better job in making sports inclusive and for every singe person, no matter what. That is what drives me today.That is why I am now studying sports journalism with a minor in women and gender studies at IUPUI. Through this major, I am learning feature writing, AP style, diversity in the media, and the most important concepts of gender studies. I'm also a vice president for the Indy USBC association, which is a local association of the United States Bowling Congress. Through that position, I am helping build a more diverse board of directors, and ensuring that the sport of bowling is truly for everyone.Heading into the future, I want to be reporting and writing about the biggest events in the world. I want to give a voice to the voiceless. I want to ensure that the stories that matter are being told. That is what drives me everyday to get up and focus on tomorrow.
