-Finished working in a Tier 2 capacity as an escalation point for Tier 1 SOC watchstanders.
-Primary Contact for all ArcSight administrative tasks including troubleshooting issues and restoration of service in case of failure. Also responsible for Rule and ArcSight content creation including Active Channels, Queries, Reports, Zones, and Filters.
-Involved in the ArcSight implementation from installation to production. The ArcSight system processes 10,000 Events Per Sec (EPS) for many different customers.
-Responsible for Tier 2 deep packet analysis of alerts and escalation to system owners when necessary.
-General troubleshooting of any Security related issues including monitoring network throughput, analyzing firewall traffic, and server administration of security software such as Symantec EndPoint Protection, Critical Systems Protection, SNARE logging, and Syslog-NG
-Managed a project to stand up a new Syslog-NG infrastructure. Steps included obtaining hardware, writing custom Syslog-NG code segments and learning Veritas Clustering Software for a High Availability implementation.
- Coordinated On Site Vendor support from McAfee for Network Security Manager.
- Coordinated three weeks of in house ArcSight Training with ArcSight Professional Services. Also attended ArcSight Administration and ArcSight Analyst training.

-Formerly worked as the primary Firewall Engineer for Operations and Maintenance.
