Since passing the patent bar during law school, I have helped clients of all sizes to manage and monetize strategic portfolios of patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights and other forms of IP.I also bring over 20 years of General Counsel experience to Practus, so I am well-equipped to help companies of all sizes to find the legal representation they need, either within Practus' deep bench of talented attorneys, or with respected colleagues at other firms.

Through my law firm, Colvin IP, I brought decades of intellectual property, litigation and in-house counsel experience to solve clients' complex legal matters with an efficient, client-focused and business-savvy approach.During my time at Colvin IP, I also held a secondment as an in-house IP attorney with Verizon. I find that these engagements help me to better understand my clients' needs and to stay focused on helping my clients achieve their bottom line business objectives.

I practiced for 11 years with the AmLaw 100 firm of Kramer Levin Naftalis and Frankel, handling dozens of complex matters involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, false advertising, contract disputes and insurance coverage disputes.I also successfully represented a number of startup companies, helping them to build and protect strong IP portfolios and, in some cases, resulting in highly favorable acquisition or licensing agreements with major international firms.

I joined IBM after graduating from Princeton University with an Aerospace Engineering degree with a focus on computer modeling. At IBM, I served first as an engineer responsible for key components of air traffic control system being developed under contract with FAA. Then served as a technical marketing representative with responsibility for major telecommunications companies.
