I have over 30 years experience in the various information disciplines in Australia and the United Kingdom. For more than 25 years I have been responsible for implementing records and information management programs in public sector agencies. I have now more recently moved into senior management / corporate governance roles and am now Head of Governance at APRA. I am a Life Member, Fellow and former director of Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (formerly the RMAA) and a Chartered Secretary - a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and the Chartered Governance Institute. I am also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.My PhD research looked at the social practices that constitute record keeping in the Australian Government in the digital era and I regularly present on subjects as diverse as information governance, ethics in information management, professional education, systems of classification, enterprise content management and recordkeeping compliance.
