As a business management and information systems professional with more than 20 years of experience, I critically think through unusual and egregious problems others struggle to solve. I find unique solutions in, around, and outside “the box.” Understanding and connecting with people is a natural gift that I use to create and build up teams focused on working together and avoid division. Combining inclusion and belonging leadership, honed business acumen, GRC, and advanced technology skills, I am able to deliver inclusive technology-based solutions that meet compliance, correctly and appropriately address business needs, and give people modern tools that empower them to do their jobs in an environment where they feel they belong.Entrepreneurship and equitable inclusion advocacy efforts began in the 7th grade. As with all of us, my experience is built not on successes alone but also on failures turned into lessons and opportunities to grow and find new bests. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, partner to an Asian immigrant, and brother/friend to individuals with special abilities and disabilities, there are few groups I cannot connect with. My hobbies and personal interests are eclectic and range from photography to captive reef keeping, reading to cooking, music and art to philosophy and psychology, and so much more. I’ve never been satisfied with knowing one thing too well. Instead, I prefer to let other people be the specialized experts and I learn just enough about as much as I can. This has enabled me to be an ambassador and liaison that will navigate to the right way rather than asserting my own way. Before business comes people, and that’s true in my own life as well. My first passion is exploring the adventures of my long-term relationship with my partner. He calms me and annoys me; he centers me and distracts me. He challenges me and helps me to grow but to never get too serious. He is my grounding rod. He is my love! As a Vietnamese Immigrant 14 years younger than me, he gives me fresh perspective to understand the world anew and vicariously experience choices different that I made.
