Provided senior financial analytical consulting services to various UCSF departments and affiliates that included the public UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco and private UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, Oakland (BCHO). Projects included:Directed Payment Programs for UCSF (public) and BCHO (private)Initiative: The US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) instituted enhanced payment initiative programs that focus on delivery system reform. These programs required hospitals and health plans to collaborate to submit accurate encounter data to the state with payment of funds dependent on the finalized data.Achievement: Provided and reconciled data at the encounter level working with billing department and programmers. Collaborated with the plans to rectify variances. Attained significant reimbursement for both UCSF and BCHO annually in allocation from state funds.Community Benefit Reporting and IRS 990 Schedule HInitiative: The Community Benefit Report communicates the amount of services provided to meet the health needs of the community.Achievement: As lead for the financial report section, accumulated figures summarizing Charity Care provided and other programs.
