Things can always be better! As someone who has always had an eye for improvement, streamlining, and innovation, I firmly believe that with the right cocktail of time, creativity, communication, data, and vision, anything and everything can be improved upon. Whether it is day-to-day operations, large-scale initiatives, or collaborative efforts, there is a means to improve/maximize organizational efforts-to-outcomes. I am a critical thinker with nearly a decade of team and project management experience in the non-profit world and have lead several teams throughout the years through the process of devising and executing specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound initiatives that have lead to lasting change within the organizations themselves, as well as within the communities they served. Some of my proudest accomplishments include: -Helping to guide Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah to two consecutive "Pinnacle" awards (the highest honor awarded to BBBS agencies by the BBBS national office) while acting as the Community-Based Mentor program team lead. -The planning and creation of the community food pantry at James E. Moss elementary school from the ground up in a collaborative effort with community partners including the Utah Food Bank and the Granite Education Foundation. -Acting as the lead for an internal giving campaign at United Way of Salt Lake which raised over $65,000 in the span of two weeks. -Organizing, budgeting for, and leading large-scale volunteer projects including one-off beautification projects, free health/vision/dental clinics, as well as reoccurring volunteer opportunities such as tutoring and peer mentoring programs. -The creation of the Youth Sports Network through United Way of Salt Lake: an inter-agency Collective Impact initiative that brought together over 20 local and national non-profits as well as a number of for-profit business partners. This network served to increase access to youth sports programs to underprivileged students and families all along the Salt Lake valley. It is an absolute delight to provide service to the people and communities around me in any capacity. Whether it is managing a purpose-driven team, creating a network of partners and guiding their actions through results-based facilitation, or being "boots on the ground" and working alongside motivated volunteers. I believe that I bring a growth mindset to any work environment and I look forward to speaking with you about what tools I can bring to your proverbial table.
