Using Mitek (SE), my responsibilities are to create structural component designs for single and multi-family projects located in Wisconsin. We design floor and roof trusses for manufacturing in our plant. In addition, we also manufacture wall panels, and EWP floor panels. From construction documentation, RFI’s, and submittal process; I prepare projects’ pricing, design, shop drawings, cutting files, and field documentation for residential and multi-family projects. We design in Mitek (SE) and use the Management suite for all scheduling, bidding / pricing, and job tracking. I ran 2M BF in production for the 2022 WI market.

As a remote designer for 84 Lumber, my responsibilities are to size and layout EWP products in large custom homes. We use Mitek (SE) for design. I am also responsible for some projects to supply dimensional framing such as; ceiling joists, rafter framing, and deck framing. I do design work for markets in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Carolina. Our designs are for the unskilled labor market in which case EWP designs account for plumbing, lighting, and other framing scenarios. From my designs, 84 Lumber provides bids, materials lists, and products for each project. **Laid off due to market changes in national builder accounts.

I created a business to experience the building industry from a financial, estimating, and budget / management perspective. As a 1099 contractor I gained contracts for material / project estimating and management. I started out doing material estimates and EWP floor joist layouts for companies such as X-Beam, Alpine Lumber, and LAM-Wood. Eventually I made my way into custom home builders in Summit County, and for them I procured rough frame materials for pricing shippable lists. Eventually I was able to understand divisional budgets and apply my procurement process into these divisions. I also ran six onsite projects in Breckenridge as a Project Manager for New West Partners. Duties included but not limited to were; trade scheduling, inspection scheduling, material ordering, site and material clean-up, creating relationships with material suppliers, tradesmen / women, and attended client meetings, site walks, etc...

I was hired as a member of the High Density Housing Team. My job responsibilities were to estimate Weyerhaeuser product by using blue prints, and other constructions documents in CAD based software. Other responsibilities included EWP product specification for engineer of record work and the creation of material placement plans after the material bid was awarded. My short employment with Weyerhaeuser is not a reflection of my work quality, ability to meet deadlines, nor my lack of knowledge of construction.

VisiLearn LLC offers CaaS (Classroom as a Service) in the cloud. My role at VisiLearn was customer relations, technical support, and to assist in software development. I played a key role as a point of contact for our customer base. Clients contacted me regarding classroom images, technical difficulties, scheduling, and billing.My job responsibilities were to configure virtual machines (VPC’s) on a Hyper V server. The configuration of the classroom involves adding domains, Remote Desktop Protocol, .NET Services, assigning NIC’s, IP addresses, and other standard IT definitions. I also provided live support should there be any technical difficulties during classroom times. Technical trouble shooting involved checking various network settings, Remote Desktop Protocol settings, computer management, updates, etc… In addition I kept a close record of software enhancements and bug fixes. The documentation process of our vConnect application and its functionality were also responsibilities of mine.Communication played a key role in our company’s success since it is was a remote company. Keeping our developers notified of issues from our customers ensured us that we were providing the best services. Understanding our developers’ intent and successfully relaying that message through training to our customers is an important responsibility that I performed daily. Equally important is making sure that I did a thorough job of BETA and regression testing to ensure stability within our product versions.

As a Structural Component Designer / EWP my responsibilities were to convert CamWest Homes from dimensional lumber to EWP and component products. Working with the engineer of record, we engineered the building using Keybuild suites, developed wall panels, and EWP designs for production to the field. We also performed work in Hawaii in which all projects were pre-cut, then shipped to a treatment plant, and then sent to Hawaii to be assembled onsite. Our scope of work covered large light commercial and multi-family dwellings. **Left because the market crashed.

2000-2003 The Facility Lead Trainer's responsibilities were to create coarse objectives, training exercises, and materials needed for training classes. Other responsibilities were the prioritization and update of customer enhancement lists, bug list, and technical support of the construction services software (BIM). Typical job duties were teaching customer and employee design platforms within the multiple software suites (BIM Software). Other duties included drafting, documentation, spreadsheets, and user preference comparisons to other design software type (BIM).2004-2006 I resumed my previous national training and technical support role. While in that role, I took advantage of learning building practices by training software and parlayed myself into the Build Services Department where I did EWP and Wall Panel designs for residential and multi-family projects, and earned a Project Manager title. I received project experience locally, nationally, and in Canadian markets.

Using blueprints, specifications, and others; my responsibilities were to produce wall panel designs and shop / field drawings for material and component supply. Other responsibilities included employee software training, generating material lists, and general project support.
