Under the guidance of our Principal Investigator, Dr. Adly Thebaud, the role of a Clinical Research Coordinator is to conduct procedures related to clinical trials which the site has been selected to participate in. Following the guidelines set forth by the GCP (Good Clinical Practice), coordinators are to guide potential subjects through the informed consent process followed by a set a clinical procedures. Procedures are determined by specific study protocols, but generally include performing an EKG, venipuncture, laboratory testing, the shipping of biological substances, and dispensing/administering investigational product if applicable.Coordinators are also responsible for ensuring all documentation pertaining to each protocol is efficiently organized and explicitly labeled to ensure the sponsors of each trial have access to the information when needed. The information is then submitted online to each study's sponsor.
