As CIO, I ran technology for Rootworks. I also managed product delivery for its members, with the exception of the coaching/education team. Those product delivery teams included a Customer Service Team, a Web Services team, and an Outsourced Marketing & Communications team. The Customer Service Team was responsible for onboarding and supporting members on the custom-built and proprietary Rootworks member platform. The Web Team managed a custom-built content management system that hosted over 600 websites. The Outsourced Marketing Team provided social and marketing content & execution for members, built around Rootworks marketing materials generated by our marketing strategists. Additionally, as a member of the Strategy Team, I provided us, as well as managers with KPIs and Insights using Sisense to inform the organization of its progress toward financial objectives, shape OKRs, and to help craft overall business strategy. Additionally, as the acting security officer, I operated as a virtual CISO for all our members, educating and building awareness on latest security trends and threats through periodic webinars & one on one coaching.

ForthPhaze was designed to provide proactive IT professional services by building quality relationships with clients. ForthPhaze provides specialized expertise in key applications, and offering unique services with an honest and professional approach. Business transferred ownership in 2014 to another independent consulting company, and the brand continues to exist.

Kiva Networking was a local Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the central Indiana region. Started as a Windows administrator in our field services group. Became quickly involved in ISDN and T1 installations, and network design and implementation. Obtained my MCSE and CCNA certifications. Became the manager of the field services group in March of 2000, where the team grew to 8 members. After ownership change to Myers Technology Group, Field Services merged with the rest of the support groups creating a three-tiered escalation support structure which I led, with about 15-20 team members. Began reporting to the owner in a 4-person leadership team, advising owner on strategy and execution. After the eGix merger, participated in the ramp-up of their Hosted IP telephone services.

Provided day to day support and administration of Windows network, website, intranet, and two insurance systems on Unix and AIX platforms. Wrote custom program and code for integration with dot-matrix printers.
