The event sold out for the first-time history in 2019 exceeding 800 guests in attendance and raising over $364,473 gross revenue. • Increased ABOA net revenue by 16% in one year through innovative fundraising techniques. • Prioritized personal page fundraising, a peer-to-peer digital development resource and increased this revenue source by 135% in one year through broader engagement with our membership. • Launched the first Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee on the ABOA, empowering volunteers to ensure that DE&I is a priority for our organization in fighting for health equity and representation amongst our membership. -
Development Manager For Distinguished EventsAmerican Cancer Society Jun 2016 - Jan 2019Chicago, Illinois, United States• Recruited 37 young professional volunteers to launch the suburban-based Leadership Council supporting the Night Under the Stars event, exceeding goal raising $144,264 in its first year. • Managed two Coaches vs. Cancer events working in partnership with Northwestern University and Notre Dame’s head basketball coaches (Chris Collins & Mike Brey). These two events raised over $130,000. • Supported the Discovery Ball gala, raising over $6 million in 2017, making the event the single highest gross fundraising event in the history of the American Cancer Society. -
Assistant Director Of Alumni And Community EngagementLake Forest College Jun 2014 - Jun 2016Office Of Development And Alumni Relations•Launched the first Young Alumni Council, engaging over 20 young alumni in volunteer initiatives, pledging personal donations, and recruiting annual gifts from their peers. •Organized 10 alumni events in one fiscal year in Chicago, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. •Managed 10 All-Access Mixers (events that offer students and alumni an opportunity to network with one another). •Increased the alumni participation rate at All-Access Mixers by 40%. This was done by researching and inviting additional alumni identified through collaboration with other campus offices.•Secured an alumni leadership gift to fulfill the $2500 Forester PRIDE Scholarship. This initiative also included organizing two Forester PRIDE fundraisers, held in June (pride month) in Chicago. •Spearheaded the Chicago Day Program, which connected first-year studies classes with 21 alumni volunteers in their respective offices for lunch during a day trip to Chicago. •Increased faculty and staff giving from 25% participation to 40% participation in one fiscal year through an ambassador feedback program and various solicitation methods. •Implemented practices to retain annual donors and increase alumni giving participation such as anniversary notes, donor visits, phone-a-thons and reunion giving initiatives. These practices resulted in successfully raising $2.6 million needed for our annual fund during fiscal year 2015, and achieving a 25% alumni participation rate. •Created the first Nebraska alumni network by organizing 3 regional events and engaging over 30 alumni. •Recruited over 60 alumni volunteers to help execute 9 Homecoming reunions, which included peer-to-peer outreach, multi-channel communication methods, and conference call coordination. This also involved securing a $10,000 collaborative leadership gift and documenting estate gifts. •Met one-on-one with over 100 alumni donors in the San Francisco, Nebraska, and Chicago networks. -
