Consulted for Remedy Corporation at AEP, Siemens, Lucent Technologies, Verizon, Fujitsu Corporation, EDS, Excite@Home, State of Michigan, Department of State, and the Defense Intelligence Agency. Duties included developing system architecture, performing application analysis and developing applications with Remedy ARS and C/C++ to meet customer requirements. Wrote gateway (in C) to interface between Remedy ARS and NetCool/Visionael network monitoring system at Verizon allowing customer service engineers access to real time network hardware information and well as being one of engineers designing and implementing Verizon’s primary customer service package. Wrote applications at AEP to track internal IT billing information, automate the asset management system, and wrote a general purpose messaging hub between Remedy ARS (v. 5) and other AEP applications (Java Servlets and XML). Wrote application (in Java) to automatically generate Remedy forms from an XML design document.

Wrote revamped Airflow operator to transfer from customer SFTP sites to a medical analytics company S3 bucket. Brought time down from over an hour to 14m for 1.5GB files. Rewrote Airflow DAGs to use Microsoft Teams instead of Slack. Wrote custom notebooks to determine targeted customers for business queries via Jupyter Lab against AWS Redshift and Microsoft SQL databases.

Automate the provisioning of government agencies to Accela's software system. Write programs to improve reliability and accuracy of the provisioning process such as checking on certificate expirations. Wrote an Airflow DAG to generate and run automated tests with new server and server cluster provisioning with Jenkins. Wrote Python program to compare all servers in cluster against their prototype to show deviations from the norm. Between these two programs, took the validation process for 120 servers from multiple weeks to a few hours. Wrote more Airflow DAGs to populate the corporate data warehouse with the latest data. Wrote program to schedule internal server updates based on internal rules to give Accela team members weeks to a month of advance notice (from a few days to a week previously).

Help Ellie Mae enterprise clients be more successful with their Encompass usage. Help manage the customer relationships, perform Tech Checks and work to improve the performance of the Encompass application though analysis of the customer's usage and updating the development and Dev Ops team.Wrote tools for other team members to analyze and report on customer's Encompass usage and problems using Python (standalone or in Jupyter Notebooks). These are also sent to many customers to help allow them to manage and optimize their Encompass usage. Wrote the JIT Debugger in Encompass used to make debugging easier / more convenient for the customers. Co-designed / authored the Borrower Reset functionality in the Ellie Mae Resource Center to have the customers have a quick and easy self-service option for the most common single issue leading to Encompass trouble tickets.

Provide technical support for BMC Premier Support customers dealing with AR System, ITSM and associated applications

Developing new Remedy functionality for US Army ITSM and documenting existing software and business processes. Developed a data validation tool (in Remedy workflow) for adding new Army organizations to the Army ITSM enterprise system. Wrote application (in Java) to validate and build Army assets from consolidated customer spreadsheets.

Worked on integrations between BMC Remedy Service Request Management (SRM) and various external systems. Wrote integration workflow between First Data's SRM system and their Remedy CS application to pass ticket information in real time. Wrote web service integrations for Visa between their SRM system and Tivoli.

Wrote Python scripts to clean and load data into the Dell Unilever's custom service catalog system in Remedy ARS and well as automating differential data loads for steady state. Cleaned, built and loaded data for Cargill's migration to an updated BMC Remedy ARS system.

Provided Remedy ARS development services to Verizon Wireless including writing Remedy server data migration and server difference programs in Python, a Sarbannes - Oxley data auditor for their customer support tickets in Perl and a generic notification module (in Remedy ARS workflow).

Designed and developed the Remedy ARS customer support application for the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Consulted for Lucent Technologies, AOL, York International, John Deere, and Franklin Templeton. Developed (as part of a Remedy team) Lucent’s internal customer service package in use worldwide. Wrote interface (in C) from Remedy ARS into Lucent's Clarify application for customer service level validation. Developed a 3-D NOC walkthrough in VRML for Qwest Communications (then LCI Communications).

Wrote multithreaded gateway (TCP/IP) between Lucent Technologies proprietary TNM monitoring system and Remedy ARS in C. Wrote Perl scripts and Remedy application to convert between EDI 940 / 945 and Remedy ARS for NCR. Designed and developed customer support system for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as part of team writing application to serve 30,000+ customer base.

Wrote programs to assist ODOT engineers with various technical issues including roadway vertical curvature and soil density analysis. Wrote UNIX and NT batch scripts to automate setup of ODOT CAD machines. Wrote Quattro Pro macros to calculate annual project timelines and costing.

Analyzed rate structures, published tariffs, prepared fuel tax returns, and handled fleet licensing for over 400 clients.
