In my new role at Seibels I became more involved with both the Accounting and Financial operations. In addition to my previous responsibilities I also:-Prepared a BOD reporting package on a monthly basis that included financials, operational metrics, and ratios and analysis. Reviewed this package with our CFO in preparation for BOD and leadership meetings.-Created a new budgeting process to make it easier for our Leadership Team to submit their budgets with a higher level of detail which improved budget-to-actual accuracy. Managed the Budget process from creation to submission and put together presentations used by our CFO to present to the BOD.-Met monthly with BU Leaders to review their budget-to-actuals. Created presentations with both financial and operational data. Analyzed General Ledger detail to determine causes for variances and made Operational and Financial Suggestions to improve financial performance.-Assisted with Accounting ME duties. Performed Corporate Overhead Allocations along with other allocations to track costs accurately on a monthly basis. Reconciled multiple Asset and Liability Balance Sheet Accounts on an as needed basis. -Collaborated with our Data Warehouse team in order to improve our internal operational reporting.-Worked with our Controller and Staff Accountants to standardize journal entries in order to easily find source documents for entries being made.-Worked with our CFO to assist in strategic planning including: financing activities, accounting procedures, operational reporting, and general company operations. -Worked on many ad-hoc reporting and projects to assist in operational decision making.
