About Chris Fortin
The love of building things led me to obtain a formal education in Architectural Engineering Technology. This gained me a widespread understanding of the built world around us. The excitement in seeing how things are made drove me towards several interesting internships at Pratt & Whitney and at The Gillette company. Here I benefited from seeing how workflows can be improved by following standard procedures and easy to follow methods. Waste and in-efficiencies could be reduced by streamlining the process and the benefit that technology has to offer in manufacturing. A passion for technology and 3D modeling led me to a career shift that involved working for an Autodesk Authorized reseller. This not only gave me the opportunity to work with the latest and greatest software, but it also gave me the opportunity to share it with others through training and product demonstrations.The opportunity to stay involved with architecture, manage a technology vision and help out manufacturing clients is what led me to my current role at Design Group.
