• Responsible for managing the technical and data center operations of a multisite environment that contains over 2500 PCs and 250 servers, running a mixture of Windows and Linux. • Lead the design and implementation of large scale IT projects such as:• Upgrading data center virtualization technologies such as VMware vCenter and VMware View that are projected to save the hospital $2.5 million over the next 5 years and helped the hospital have the required infrastructure and security to meet Meaningful Use II goals• Upgraded hospital telecommunication circuits to provide 10X the bandwidth, while reducing costs by $360K annually. • Reduced the need for external support contracts resulting in $250K in savings annually. • Implemented Zero Trust policies for servers and endpoints• Conducting security auditing according to NIST 800-53 guidelines and performing remediation based on the findings (DLP, SIEM, IDS, etc). • Design and implemented an information security management program at the hospital and developed numerous info sec policies for areas such as BYOD• Design and implementation of a vulnerability management program

In addition to teaching cybersecurity courses I have conducted research pertaining to information systems auditing and compliance as well as intrusion detection. The program is a NSA Center of Academic Excellence.

Played a key role in the research and creation of the company’s natural language search algorithms and was responsible for leading the company’s software development efforts as well as the design of the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role included responsibility for the security of the company’s information systems.

In addition to teaching computer topics such as Operating Systems, Networking, and Device Driver Programming, I was responsible for running an R&D laboratory that developed technologies such as artificial intelligent elevator control systems, genetic algorithms for logic circuit building, and advanced data mining technologies for the biomedical sciences.

Performed all system administration tasks for the school’s Unix and Linux machines and programmed custom software solutions for data analysis tasks. I was also involved in leading research efforts pertaining to the use of machine learning in the area of protein engineering.
