At the EVC Group I helped lead the integrated communications practice, providing corporate communications and financial media relations for publicly traded and private companies in the medical device, technology and biotech sectors as well as others.Our work for STAAR Surgical and Questcor Pharmaceuticals won the 2011 and 2010 Silver Anvil Award for Excellence in Investor Relations from the Public Relations Society of America.We provided integrated communications counsel to CEOs and top company officers. We developed messaging on central client issues, using journalistic research and reporting practices. As a member of the Board of Directors I contributed to the governance and strategic direction of the Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF). The Foundation's mission is to support the students and teachers in Stamford's Public Schools (SPS) through community collaboration and philanthropy.

As Director of Communications and Municipal Outreach for the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (now part of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority) I developed strategic messages to foster historically strong economic growth expected to total $5.6 billion in new investments over 25 years as well as cutting edge environmental and sustainability policies. I managed a long-running public relations campaign which in part helped lead to congressional hearings and inclusion of critical language in the Federal Railroad Safety Improvement Act of 2007. Other work on renewable energy policy earned a 2006 United States Environmental Protection Agency Clean Air Excellence Award. Leading the first comprehensive ecotourism guide for a major urban area earned an Environmental Quality Award from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for 2006 and a Governor's Tourism Excellence Award for 2007.

At the Herald News and The Record I covered the redevelopment of the Meadowlands sports complex outside of Manhattan and the investment of $1.3 billion into the Meadowlands Xanadu project. I developed an investigative series on public schools in the City of Garfield, New Jersey, resulting in the proper provision of textbooks to students. I also covered anti-war protests in Washington D.C. and the impact of the New Jersey Islamic community.

At The Advocate I conducted a long-running investigation of retail gas pricing, cited by the Connecticut Attorney General in testimony before the U.S. Senate and state legislature. I also participated in a team covering casino development on American Indian reservations in Connecticut, producing a poll-based report that resulted in a local television talk show appearance.
