CurrentChristopher Gentry is an investment banker with over 25 years of experience in leveraged finance. He advises middle market companies on their financing needs in the debt capital markets, where he has led or co-led over 40 transactions totaling $1.3 billion of credit commitments. Chris was a founder and Managing Partner at Monroe Credit Advisors, an affiliate of Monroe Capital. Prior to Monroe he was a director at Concord Financial Advisors where he focused on private placements and buy-side mergers and acquisitions. In 2000, he founded Capricorn Technology Partners Inc., a financial advisory firm focused on early stage venture financing for high technology startups. From 1998 to 2000, Chris was a vice president and business development officer for BankBoston Business Credit and Fleet Capital where he focused on syndicated senior secured asset-based and high-yield bond financing. He also held positions at Mellon Business Credit, Sanwa Business Credit and Fremont Capital Corporation in loan originations, underwriting, portfolio, workouts and field exam. Chris is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance. He holds and maintains FINRA licenses Series 24 (General Securities Principal), Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law). Chris is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, Commercial Finance Association and Association for Corporate Growth. He has previously served on the board of Chicago Lights, a non-profit community outreach program that focuses on education, health and economic issues facing youth and the community at large.
