Chris has deep experience in anti-discrimination and human rights law and its application across Government, corporate industry, NGOs, the education and health sectors, and in the community.He has worked for nearly a decade as an Investigator & Conciliator at the Australian Human Rights Commission and has conducted hundreds of complex statutory investigations and conciliations. He is a Nationally Accredited Mediator and is known for his expertise in prevention and trauma-informed response strategies to sexual harassment/assault, bullying and discrimination and a deep understanding of best practice, trauma-informed investigation and complaint-handling processes.Chris is highly skilled in creating environments where people feel safe to disclose their lived experience and he has contributed to numerous high-profile independent systemic investigations and reviews into Immigration Detention Centres, Universities, international corporations, and Federal and State Parliaments, including the ‘Set the Standard’: Independent Review into Commonwealth Parliamentary Workplaces 2021 (AHRC); and Leading for Change: Independent Review of Bullying, Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct in NSW Parliamentary Workplaces 2022 (EB&Co).Chris has also delivered presentations and training to numerous organisations and stakeholders on the same subject matter, including with schools, Aboriginal Land Councils, peak advocacy bodies, Government departments, the legal and business sectors, and to international delegations including the Singapore Ministry of Manpower and the All-China Women’s Federation Delegation, which included Judicial members of the Supreme People's Court of China.
