For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with making people happy. So it comes as no surprise that I’ve excelled in client and business partner interactions and in helping connect others with the right people and resources. And connect others with the right people and resources is exactly what I do as an HR Leader, or as an HR Concierge, as I like to refer to myself. From creating memorable guest experiences to now creating meaningful employee experiences, I bring my hospitality background to my work in HR. At the heart of it, I enjoy getting to know people.I’m also committed to making work fun and creating organizational cultures where people feel like they can bring their whole, authentic selves to work. Ask me about the time I put googly eyes on the back of a hand-sanitizing station. I arrived to HR by way of recruiting, a career transition that was 10 years in the making. I also obtained my PHR certification on my own dime and drive.Within my various roles across hospitality and now, all of my professional and personal experiences have taught me some incredible things and have revealed values and strengths including:✅ Putting people first is always the right move✅ Winning is fun but helping a team win trumps all✅ I’m fluent in speaking slang, tech, and exec✅ I am unshakeable when faced with adversity or high-stress situations✅ I’m quick-witted and tend to think outside of the box✅ My Dad reflexes are one of my top strengths✅ I can tell a great story, but I am even better at listeningBuilding safe spaces where employees can voice their concerns as well as their ideas is where I make the greatest impact. Whether it’s for my own teams that I’m leading, or for the greater organizational workforce, I make sure that employees feel heard and cared for. When I’m not working with my business partners, facilitating their objectives with HR strategies, plans, and of course, talented people, I’m coaching various kids’ sports teams and providing my insights as a member of the Youth Development Committee of the City of Beavercreek.I enjoy connecting with people in human resources and talking shop about the answers that will solve the everyday struggles of today’s workforce and tomorrow’s talent gaps. And I promise you that you won’t get an immediate sales pitch or canned response after connecting.

Healthcare RecruiterWise Medical Staffing May 2021 - Oct 2021Chillicothe, Ohio, UsHaving worked within the facility setting, as well as in Wise Medical Staffing’s agency setting, I can empathize with the experience of both the healthcare professionals and the healthcare facilities. In only 5 months, I recruited and supervised 60 travel healthcare professionals by building a brand on social media – a skill that I developed during my time in hospitality. I also streamlined a few internal processes, which was particularly valued within the highly regulated healthcare industry. -
Staffing And Scheduling CoordinatorPromedica Nov 2020 - Apr 2021Toledo, Ohio, UsAs Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator, I maintained staffing levels and created schedules to ensure compliance with coverage regulations, but most importantly, enabled healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care to our patients and residents.Coordinating a roster of up to 50 nurses and aides at Heartland of Beavercreek, a long-term care and short-term rehabilitation facility, we served 100+ residents. With healthcare professionals being in very high demand always, but especially during a pandemic, I was constantly sourcing and recruiting new direct hires as well as talent through agencies. This became ever-more challenging when we adapted our facility to accommodate COVID-19 protocol, opening two new wings. As they were providing an essential service, it’s an understatement to say that the staff were overworked during this time. Being a listening ear for employees and giving them a safe space to voice concerns was my top priority. -
Assistant General ManagerFairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Mar 2020 - Aug 2020I was recruited to my 3rd Marriott property, stepping into my role the day before the global pandemic was declared. Not the best timing, especially in the hospitality industry!Despite the uncertainty and disruption, I made the most of my time in this role and looked for ways to identify cost-saving opportunities in order to keep the hotel as operational as possible.Unfortunately, there were many layoffs and employees who were furloughed. I made sure that I kept in close contact with them, hiring back whenever I could. In August 2020, my role too was cut due to the pandemic-related industry downturn. -
Assistant General ManagerHome2 Suites By Hilton Sep 2019 - Mar 2020Mclean, Virginia, UsAs a key contributor to the grand opening of this Home2 Suites hotel, I led a team of up to 25 people, managing everything from the hiring and onboarding to scheduling and training.Developing the culture was a highlight of this role for me. I want people to enjoy coming to work every day and to have fun. So I ensured our culture was rooted in recognition, which is something the employees truly embraced. One of the aspects of my role that was fun for me was being designated as the spokesperson for the hotel and attending networking and industry events. As a natural networker, this is something I welcomed wholeheartedly and would welcome in any future role. -
Skilled Trades RecruiterCommercial Trade Source Apr 2019 - Sep 2019Indianapolis, In, UsConnecting skilled tradespeople with roles where they could build awesome things was the most fulfilling aspect of my role at Commercial Trade Source.Recruiting and supervising 50+ contractors, I loved having the opportunity to meet them in the field and hear about their contributions to some remarkable projects, including the remodeling of high schools, universities, and the construction of new apartment complexes. -
Front Desk SupervisorMarriott International Apr 2015 - Sep 2019Bethesda, Md, UsDuring my tenure at Marriott hotels, I worked at the Courtyard by Marriott and Marriott, both at the University of Dayton, and earned numerous promotions. I was also recognized 12 times with the Spirit to Serve award.Moving into a leadership role at Marriott was like a crash course in HR. From recruiting and recognition to employee engagement and employee development, I oversaw, onboarded, and trained a team of 35 front desk and concierge staff.Working in a supervisory role also gave me the opportunity to make an impact on culture, where I shifted my team’s focus to prioritize personal connections with guests, elevating their experience and our guest satisfaction scores.I’m proud to say that some of the staff I led and mentored went on to earn promotions and become leaders in their own rights. -

Membership Services CoordinatorAssociated Builders & Contractors, Ohio Valley Mar 2017 - Dec 2018Springboro, Oh, UsWith nearly 10 years’ experience in hospitality at the time I joined Associated Builders & Contractors, I brought my strengths in coordinating numerous services to deliver maximum value to customers.Managing a portfolio of 600 corporate members and 8,000 individual members, my focus was to help our customers, non-unionized construction firms, do business better. This included organizing a number of job fairs as well as industry networking and educational events and bringing in experts to present on a number of topics. The construction industry faces a number of challenges when it comes to succession planning and employee engagement, so I focused on organizing programs around emerging HR issues and trends. I also served on the Culture Committee, which acted much like an HR mastermind to discuss and develop ideas and recommendations for tackling these issues. -
