Chris has been a management and technical consultant to companies worldwide for over 30 years, including co-founding or investing in multiple startups since 2017. Chris began his career in international trade and was employed by the US Commercial Service in Hong Kong and Shenzhen in the 1990s. While at global consulting and financial services companies ERM, WSP and ORIX, Chris established and led consulting teams of up to 150 people, delivering results for Fortune 500 manufacturers in the areas of environmental, health and safety management, energy efficiency and sustainability. As part of his leadership roles, Chris sourced, negotiated and closed corporate acquisitions, led an in-house private equity team for 3 years, and had operational responsibility for offices across the US and Asia. Early in his career, Chris co-authored the first draft of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards for the electronics manufacturing industry; successor standards are now implemented by and audited at thousands of suppliers in 120 countries worldwide who support the 400 corporate members of the Responsible Business Alliance. In 2021, Chris co-founded a digital mental health company which disseminates a trademarked and evidence-based intervention, the Family Check-Up.
