I am the Flight Software team lead for DART, NASA's Double Asteroid Redirection Test. DART is NASA's mission to hit an asteroid at 6km/s and measure the perturbation of its orbit. During this time, the FSW team overhauled our Software in the Loop testing framework, earning me a trip to be a keynote speaker at Dockercon 2018. We also updated our ICD and documentation framework, centralizing a data description language named Kaitai, with multiple publications at the Flight Software Workshop (2019/2021). Lastly, we brought DevOps to the overall system test framework, resulting in publishing at IEEE Aerospace 2019 and Flight Software Workshop 2021 as well as one of the smoothest Integration & Test campaigns from the software standpoint in recent APL history.I also am very active in our IR&D process, having won ~500K in awards to do things like investigate the NVIDIA Jetson TX2i in a space environment, presented and SEE/MAPLD 2020, and avionics redundancy schemes, presented at SCC 2021. Much of this research has been focused on how we leapfrog our current space grade processors into the present.

-Led over 20 person software and hardware engineering shop-Design, build and test hardware and software rapid capabilities -Architected the USAF next gen, RESTful, SDR based space control platform-Led and deployed development team in multiple quick reaction field exercises-Integrated COTS hardware with custom SLAX distribution to include LEAP motion-Built live PCAP dissector using Wireshark, Bash, and AWK-Leveraged Kali, Metasploit, Cisco protocols and networking tools to support pen testing of government built equipment
