Hello my name is Christopher Herrera.I am originally from California and graduated High School at San Dieguito Academy in Encinitas, San Diego and also earned my Bachelors in Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas.My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation, highlighted by relevant coursework in Computer Crime, Technical Writing, and more. These experiences have fueled my interest in leveraging technology to address the complex challenges within the criminal justice system.As a Case Worker Intern at the International Rescue Committee, I honed my technical, communication, and critical thinking skills while supporting vulnerable populations, including human trafficking and domestic violence survivors. This role provided invaluable insights into security issues faced by those in need, reinforcing my commitment to making a positive impact.My employment history further reflects my adaptability and commitment to excellence. Whether setting up events as a Banquet Server at Embassy Suites or maintaining security protocols as a Front Desk Receptionist at University of North Texas Housing, I consistently demonstrated attention to detail and a proactive approach.My proficiency in Microsoft Office Management, fluency in English and Spanish, and active memberships in professional organizations like the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society underscore my commitment to continuous learning and growth.I am excited about the prospect of contributing my skills and passion to an IT/Analyst Security role within the criminal justice system along with other investigations roles.Having discussed about my skills with the past experiences I have had, I have also been referred as a mulit-tasker, fast paced, a team player, bilingual in Spanish, excellent attitude, able to teach others, and able to learn tasks and certain things quickly.As I am in the progress of getting my Bachelor's in Science with a major in Criminal Justice, my career goal is to be involved with a high ranking department in law enforcement whether it be the CIA, FBI, and other wide spread agencies. Overall, I am working on applying for internships going into my last year that could possibly lead to a full-time position after College!
