I have a keen interest in diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and in my own office we have placed a high importance on social mobility and hiring talented people from diverse backgrounds. I was particularly pleased last year that we introduced blind recruitment for our vacation students, one of the first law firms to do so. I am also keen to support the promotion of women to senior leadership positions and increase the proportion of female representation at ‘board’ level, which we are aiming to do at my own firm - I recognise the unique challenges that women face at various stages in their careers. I have three daughters myself, and need to do my bit to level the playing field as best I can! With extensive international expertise, I also enable clients’ businesses to operate effectively across borders.
