Relevant College Experience: Research Paper: Performed a semester long project reviewing the state of the art in hip-joint replacement product development and the competing companies in the marketplace. Included personal interviews and extensive on-line and printed journal research. Grant Proposal:Researched and wrote a simulated NIH grant proposal for an Analyses of Sensori-Motor Systems in Health/Disease and presented the results to the Physical Therapy department at University of Iowa. Analysis and Measurement:Biomechanics Labs : - Performed creep and relaxation tests on bovine aortic tissue to determine visoelastic properties. - Analyzed and graphed 2-d motion in humans using sequencial still photos.-Measured viscosity of various fluids using cone-plate viscometer. -Performed stress/strain comparison analysis of different knee arthroplasty devices when implanted and placed under normal standing weight.
