The concept for Intoo was a community-generated directory that allows enthusiasts to form affinity groups around the products they love. Once a community is active, members can react to their favorite product features, post their experiential content, and interact with others who love the product too. The ultimate goal was to up-end the trillion dollar secondary market that is controlled by eBay and Craigslist by allowing users of Intoo to tap into the connections marketplace and transact directly with the people in their product affinity community. I built a data-scraping search engine that crawled Instagram to aggregate data based on hashtags and image content, allowing us to better understand how people talk about the things they love and to gauge user interest in products. Instagram noticed our success and asked to meet with us about API usage, it was determined that our business model did not fit with Facebooks future plans. Facebook asked us to stop using the Instagram API, this forced us to shutter the company and return money to investors.Intoo was funded by Technicolor Ventures the investment arm of Technicolor, and a spin-off of the EIR program.Tech Stack: GCP k8s python node bigquery

The concept was conceived by my business partner Kevin Jonas of "The Jonas Brothers," who wanted to develop a tool for better understanding his audience on Snapchat. We created a data analytics company focused on creating a dashboard of relevant data about the performance and metrics of Snapchat campaigns. To do this, I built a customized version of the Snapchat client allowing for the collection of metrics that were not previously possible to attain. We made these tools available to brands and other social media influencers.What was originally a metrics tool later evolved into an e-commerce platform that allowed people to get time limited deals delivered to their phones. Performed research on voice recognition and collection technologies to parse millions of queries on Speak4it, a location-based app that uses mobile voice collection as the input for searches. Pre-dating technologies like google voice search and siri, AT&T's speak4it was a location search application that allowed natural search to be performed by simply speaking into a phone naturally.The voice recognition technologies were borrowed from AT&T's research division at Bell Labs New Jersey, this allowed for cross discipline engineering between labs and product teams to build and support an application that would parse millions of voice samples.Based on the performance of the Speak4it project, I was promoted to the technology council that reported to the CTO of AT&T, overseeing all operations from network ops to mergers and acquisitions. Implemented opensource poker server and client (PokerSource) and updated the poker client to work with websockets and HTML5 based javascript. Ujogo was an attempt to build a pokersite that allowed players to participate in ad-supported tournaments. Ujogo grew to be the 2nd largest poker game on facebook.

Tiltware was the engineering arm of Full Tilt Poker (FTP, now Poker Stars). A founding engineer and early expert in online poker, I designed and engineered gaming systems that allowed millions of people to play poker for real money with eachother. Before joining FTP, I studied math at Oxford where I developed a card assignment technique that was better than existing card shuffling technologies, allowing for a provably random game.
