I am author of ‘Going The Extra Mile – Engaging Your Workforce to Grow Profit’, Co-author of Raise Your GAME Now! and architect of the The Extra Mile Operating Model, my goal is to ‘help coach as many folk as possible to grab their potential by the short and curlies and nail it – in and out of the workplace - with joy and laughter on the way'. After gaining a degree in Communication Studies, I spent 20 years in advertising sales and publishing, working my way up from cold calling, commission-only sales (‘4 years of daily testing your capacity to live outside your comfort zone') to general sales manager for a major publishing plc. I then set up and sold my own b2b publishing business, specialising in retail, finance, healthcare and business strategy. A bitter-sweet sabbatical followed during which I indulged myself in spending priceless time with my young daughter, became armchair sports personality of the year, pissed my wife off in the process and lost money in an ill-judged publishing venture. Enter stage left a still-flourishing business relationship with motivational performance coach, Paul ‘Stalkie’ Stalker and the opportunity to co-write ‘Raise Your GAME Now!'; Throughout my life, I had always spent time reading sales and coaching books and had been quite magpie-like in taking the bits that most appealed to my own beliefs and values and implementing them in the workplace to get the best out of my teams - here was a chance of a lifetime to contribute to a peak performance coaching methodology that I absolutely believed in, run by people that inspired me and who I loved dearly… I consider myself blessed that I have been able to implement the system in partnership with a number of blue-chip and entrepreneurial organisations and have contributed to the growth of both individual and corporate performance as a result.Specialties: Coaching, mentoring and igniting potential.
