This is a continuation of my career at Leidos. In mid-2013, SAIC officially split into Leidos, a $7 billion solutions-focused business, and SAIC, a $4 billion services business. I now work at Leidos, continuing the work I pursued while at SAIC.

Collected, categorized, identified, and weighed tree litter samples for biomass indexing and carbon analysis. Research contributed to climate change studies from the long-term Duke Forest Free Air CO2 Enrichment (FACE) project.

Assisted in developing a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) online mapping application for US EPA. Digitized and mapped 225 study areas from NEPA Environmental Impact Statements. Project supports NEPA policies and programs by providing government agencies with new geospatial analysis capabilities to understand the environment surrounding federal agency project sites.

Introduced GIS to the consulting firm, expanding their spatial analysis capabilities for ongoing and new client projects. Utilized ArcGIS software to georeference and analyze historic maps for team-based archaeology projects. Wrote environmental site assessments (ESA’s) for state government clients that evaluated the environmental impacts of telecommunications structures. Compiled data regarding wetlands, forestation and groundcover at sites in Eastern and Western Maryland.
