Oversaw the infrastructure services divisions of Jackson County’s government organization, which involved direct oversight of the transportation, airport, and parks departments, along with special public works/infrastructure projects.Served jointly as the managing director of the Jackson County DOT, working closely with a team of talented and dedicated team members to improve and maintain a 1,600-mile road network and over 500 lane-miles of state trunkline highways. Envisioned and implemented an innovative, nationally recognized and award-winning road recycling program, which drastically improved the durability and quality of roads built throughout the Jackson County community for generations to come.As owner and operator of its innovative Road Recycling & Improvement Program - the first ever comprehensive program of its kind - Jackson’s DOT took a quantum leap forward in the public works industry. The program continues to achieve sustainable, fiscally responsible, and environmentally sound construction, maintenance, and management of durable public roads using the latest in road recycling technology and asset management principles. Creation of this nationally recognized, award-winning program was the result of extensive research, exploration, collaboration, vetting, and team visioning and strategy work under Christopher’s leadership - all culminating with the unanimous approval by the Jackson County Board of Commissioners in early 2018.

Served as CEO/CFO & Engineer/Manager of two county road agencies - the first shared endeavor of its kind in Michigan.
