Digital Lending Strategies (“DLS”) is the Alternative Credit arm of Franklin Templeton, a leading global investment manager with over $1.5 trillion in assets under management. The team combines advanced machine learning technologies, big data analytics, and fundamental credit analysis to invest in marketplace loans and other emerging digital asset classes. Through various fund vehicles, public and private, the team provides partnership capital to emerging Fintechs as well as creative financing solutions for mature platforms looking to diversify their funding sources and finance the next stage of their growth.

Franklin’s Floating Rate Debt Group (“FRDG”) is the leveraged loan platform of Franklin Templeton. Through multiple investment funds and separately managed accounts, FRDG invests predominantly in senior secured corporate loans (1st lien, 2nd lien, and unitranche) and select opportunistic investments in distressed debt and special situations. Investments are sourced through direct lending, middle market, and broadly syndicated channels. Mr. Jensen is responsible for originating and underwriting attractively priced risk across the credit spectrum and across industries. Typical investment size is between $25 and $300 million.

Founded in 2006, Solar Capital Partners is a NY based investment manager with ~$4 billion of investable capital. Solar invests across a number of vehicles including two publicly traded business development companies (SLRC and SUNS), two strategic joint ventures (with PIMCO and Voya Investment Management), and various managed accounts and private funds. Solar’s business model is solutions oriented and relationship driven. The firm provides creative financing solutions (including all forms of senior and junior debt, e.g. senior secured and unsecured loans, unitranche, second lien, private high yield and mezzanine) for leveraged middle-market companies and financial sponsors. In addition to its core cash flow lending business, Solar also invests in life science venture loans and provides equity, joint venture and debt capital for commercial and specialty finance companies.

CIT SLG is the investment management arm of CIT Group. CIT SLG focuses on two strategies: (i) Investing in cash flow underwritten U.S. middle market senior and junior par loans; and (ii) Purchasing or originating special situations/distressed investments with compelling risk-reward characteristics.

Performed a semester long independent study designed to identify and analyze actionable, clean technology driven, investment ideas in support of Intel Capital’s Open Energy Initiative. Presented five ideas to Intel Capital’s global investment committee including CPower, a leading energy management and demand response provider in North America, which Intel Capital ultimately invested in as part of a Mayfield Fund led Series B round in 2009. CPower was subsequently sold to Constellation Energy in October 2010.
