Developed an online Invention Disclosure Portal, which automates the process by which inventors and software authors submit disclosures for inventions (as well as obtain patents). It automatically updates and inserts data into our new Salesforce database called "Artemis", automatically generates PDFs, links inventor information to contacts in the UC Berkeley directory, and sends automated emails. So far, it has been used to process disclosures for over over 100 UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and affiliated inventors and researchers, and reduced the median time it takes a disclosure to be viewed, completed, submitted, and processed to 2.9 hours.Technical Responsibilities:- Design web pages using Visualforce markup language and create static style resources with CSS- Write and edit back-end Apex controllers- ETL for over 12,000 records using Salesforce Data Loader and Pentaho Data Integration software- Track issues on JIRA- Customize and configure Salesforce objects, fields, record types, page layouts and validations (Salesforce Administration)- Utilize Salesforce APIs, (e.g. Metadata, Web Services)
