    While at the Davenport plant, my focus was on project work and assisting CI Engineers in their projects and tests. My main project was the development and implementation of the Home Settings Pillar of Six Sigma, which are machine specific baseline settings. The Home Settings development involved data collection and statistical analysis, both to determine the key factors affecting the machine, and to determine the optimum machine settings.In some of the tests i assisted in, I collected both Hi-Speed and standard frame rate video of different line components in order to identify line choke points, to closely identify individual package behavior, and to examine stick meat behavior during slicing.I also performed observational downtime studies in multiple departments and developed solutions to mitigate micro line stoppages

    In the Quarknet program, an outreach of the National Science Foundation and United States Department of Energy, I worked under physicist Yasar Onel in the High Energy Particle Physics Department at the University of Iowa.My main project was testing multiple signal filtering methods to remove interference signals caused by cosmic muons interfering with the Photomultiplier Tubes employed in the CMS Collision Chamber. Hardware I constructed was used in experiments on test beam at CERN, Particle Physics Laboratory, in Geneva, Switzerland.I also Designed and Milled molds for tests at Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois on samples of varying Silicone and PTP concentrations for assimilation, radiation hardness, and light transfer experiments
