In this position, I am the operations manager for the Harriett Coleman Center for the Arts, consisting of a 774-seat mainstage, a black box theater, and an off-site chapel. I negotiate contracts with external groups and vendors and foster community engagement through programming and event planning. I am responsible for 22 faculty and staff in the visual and performing arts. My responsibilities in this role include curriculum development, budgeting, personnel, yearly evaluations, and advocating for the arts faculty to the school administration, board, and stakeholders.

As Director of Bands, I supervised the direction of and conducted the Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Pit Orchestra as well as two beginning bands. I was solely responsible for recruiting and hiring new staff for the program. I organized 3-5 performances every year, including a collaborative Christmas concert featuring contributions from all music programs (band, chorus, orchestra), theater, art, and dance, and planned and executed yearly performance tours to locations such as the Bahamas, Italy, Greece, San Francisco, and New York. Delivered foundational and advanced instruction on wind and percussion instruments to students in grades 5-12 and taught classes in advanced music theory, theater management, and recording studio fundamentals. I also partnered with over a dozen professional groups to bring new educational opportunities to campus, such as masterclasses by Black Violin, The Fairfield Four, Bonerama, and The Brown Bag Brass Band.

Responsibilities included leading the weekly worship service, cultivating and maintaining volunteers, maintaining the inventory of audio equipment, and weekly communication with the pastoral staff.
