I held many roles during my tenure. Throughout I counseled clients principally on corporate governance, international trade, commercial transactions, competition law & compliance, M&A, joint ventures, intellectual property, marketing & advertising, real estate and litigation. I served as the global business counsel for the Celanese Acetate and Ticona / Advanced Engineered Materials businesses, as well as the Procurement and Supply Chain functions. I also provided legal counsel and support to the Acetyl Intermediates, Nutrinova and EVA Performance Polymers businesses of Celanese. I provided extensive legal and strategic counsel in support of Celanese's joint venture investments. Served as global counsel of Fortron Industries LLC (joint venture of Celanese & Kureha Corporation). Served as primary legal advisor to the Celanese representatives on the Board of Directors of its six international JVs [Polyplastics Co. Ltd., Korea Engineering Plastics Co., Fortron Industries, Nantong Cellulose Fibers Co, Kunming Cellulose Fibers Co., & Zhuhai Cellulose Fibers Co.]. Additionally, for 2 years I was a director on the Board of Directors of Nantong Cellulose Fibers Co, Kunming Cellulose Fibers Co., and Zhuhai Cellulose Fibers Co. (joint ventures of Celanese & China National Tobacco Corp.). I further held leadership roles in the SEC/Finance, Compliance and Intellectual Property sections of the Celanese law department. I formed a centralized Intellectual Property section of the Celanese law department, consolidating 5 separate IP law teams embedded within their respective businesses. I was a member of the Celanese Acetate and Ticona/AEM executive leadership teams, assisting with both legal and strategic business matters.
