• Produced design drawings, technical specifications, construction quality assurance (CQA) plans, and cost estimates for closure of coal ash, mining, off-spec material, sludge, and process waste impoundments; for the construction of municipal solid waste and demolition debris landfills; and to support redevelopment for complex sites, including excavation and disposal of waste and contaminated soil in streams and below the groundwater table, in-situ stabilization of heavy metals adjacent to surface water, and groundwater extraction and treatment• Developed bidding documents and bid quantities, issued addenda, received and compared bids, and provided client recommendations for the contract award for many of the projects listed above• Provided on-site engineering and CQA oversight for impoundment closure, landfill construction, site remediation, subsurface demolition, and geotechnical characterization projects• Proactively managed health and safety for much of the field work listed above, conducted daily safety tailgate meetings in English and Spanish, and conducted project safety audits to identify and address risks• Prepared and submitted NOI forms, E&S plans, PCSM plans, SWPPPs, SPCC plans, and associated regulatory submittals to federal, state, and local entities to obtain coverage under NPDES permits for construction in several mid-atlantic states, and performed design calculations to support those submittals• Led the collection of internal office sustainability data for external reporting, and led committees to improve environmental and social impact metrics• Led an office vermicomposting program, engaging staff to recycle over 300 pounds of organics per year, provided employees with finished compost, and organized gardening knowledge sharing amongst employees to help employees realize the benefits of organics recycling• Supervised an AutoCAD technician, formalized goals and provided the tools and techniques to achieve them
