Under my stewardship Suntransfers.com achieved profitable turnover growth of 81%, 38%, 40% and 53% from 2012 to 2015. During this period I steered Suntransfers.com from successful start-up to leisure market leader for private airport transfer services in Europe.I oversaw the introduction of a universal transport operator SLA; the launch of a travel agency system; the implementation of new efficient operational processes; the rollout of and support for 6 additional languages; the opening and staffing of a new head office in Barcelona; delivery of a fully responsive website redesign; and the introduction of new products and services such as vip and shuttle transfers.

Suntransfers.com was launched in May 2008 and was a 12-month-old bootstrapped startup when I joined as employee #1. I set up and ran contracting and marketing functions that generated rapid, profitable turnover growth without any external investment. My role initially centred around negotiating market-beating rates, forging key transport operator relationships and building and optimising a multilingual PPC framework.

This wide-ranging role covered all aspects of marketing an online tour operator specialised in Greek Island villas and self catering accommodation. Responsibilities included project management of a complete website redesign, Google Adwords and Yahoo advertising, product content creation and publishing, pricing and yield management, email marketing and creation of a +200 strong travel agency network. Achieved turnover growth of 37%, 50% and 57% between 2006 and 2008 inclusive.The role also included operational oversight of complaint handling, bookkeeping, monthly management accounts and a 7/7 customer services department.Sadly SunIsle Holidays ceased trading 18 months after my departure. The headwinds of the Kiss Flights failure, global recession and exchange rate volatility forced SunIsle Holidays out of business in October 2010.
