These improvements included $2.5M in avoided contractor costs through onboard self-sufficiency using make/buy analysis for six maintenance periods per year, as well as numerous emergent corrective repairs. Overhauled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance efforts, including industrial safety, hazardous material (HAZMAT) control and use, and an asbestos material control program. Procured and developed safety programs for use of new industrial tooling, including induction brazing equipment and hydraulic torque applicators.
