Hello, my name is Christopher J. May; I am a motivated and dedicated junior at the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee, pursuing majors in Finance and Accounting. I am also pursuing a concentration in International Business. While at the university, I actively engage in campus organizations to enhance my knowledge and business-relevant skills. As an enthusiastic learner, I am an active member of the Financial Management Association. I actively participate in workshops and networking events to broaden my understanding of financial markets and industry trends. In addition, as a part of the organization, I have made multiple trips to NYC to network with alumni and learn more about the field.Recognizing the importance of global business perspectives, I have had an active role in the Internak Business Club, serving as the Vice President of the International Business Club for over a year, where I foster a deeper cultural understanding and explore the impact of international trade on Finance. In my role, I encourage engagement and spread information about opportunities to travel abroad at the Haslam College of Business. However, now I am also a Haslam Internal Business Case Competition Team member. During these, I represent the University as I collaborate with my team members to analyze complex international business cases and develop innovative, data-driven strategies to address real-world challenges. We conduct market research, financial analyses, and strategy planning while showcasing critical thinking and cross-cultural communication skills at a high level.I am also a board member of the Haslam College of Business Honors Council, which tries to enhance the academic, professional, and social endeavors of honors students in the Haslam College of Business. As a board member of the council, we organize various events each semester that serve over 150+ honors students in the Haslam.Furthermore, I am honored to be a part of the prestigious Smith Global Leadership Scholar Program, which has provided and will continue providing me invaluable leadership training and mentorship opportunities. I was fortunate enough to have the chance to study abroad in London, England, taking classes and completing an internship. I have already participated in a study abroad trip to Belize. Whether it be an internship, part-time role, or connecting with like-minded professionals, I look forward to connecting and collaborating on prospective opportunities.
