The aim of CIMSEC is to build a global community of professionals, academics, and forward thinkers from a variety of fields who wish to further international maritime peace and security through an exchange of ideas and the rigour of critical thought and writing.NATO, Maritime Security Regimes, Round Table (MSR-RT) 2022-Presenter. In early November 2022, in my capacity as President, I was invited to give a presentation on the subject of climate change impact in the maritime domain with a focus on climate change related migration, its trends, impact and strategic implications. I was delighted to participate in this event and represent the group.

My post as an Associate Editor for CIMSEC has involved a wide range of duties including article proof-reading, fact checking and general research and document and blog composition. Also it enables me to keep up to date on international naval security issues and call upon extensive resources via a global network of experienced naval personnel and academics.In addition to this role I also serve as CIMSEC's UK Chapter President. In this role I am responsible for promoting awareness of the group, recruitment, participating in podcasts and the organisation of Chapter meetings, discussions and conferences.

Part-time project manager and principal researcher for the Civilian Military Humanitarian Climate Change Working Group’s (CMHCCWG) co-ordinating climate change adaptation and disaster risk resilience research with a range of subject matter experts (SME’s) including scientists, academics, humanitarian actors and senior military personnel.Made a Global Fellow in September 2021.

Supported the planning and scheduling of a data management programme within UK Strategic Command .Directly contributed to the wider delivery of the programme by building OBS, PBS, and WBS documents from start-to-end. Guided the team to formulate clear plans, held focus groups and motivated discussions with stakeholders and intersecting project teams such as PMs, engineers, digital architects, assurance managers and suppliersBenefits Manager and Document Library Administrator. Responsible for the management of data and cross project benefits within the PMO working on a core defence digital programme. Mapped out information resources linked to SharePoint. Restructured the administration of the PMO document library, taking it from an ill-structured format to a coherent and useful resource. i3 Works Social Value Efforts Reviewed company’s Social Value Efforts to support the Company Director and evaluated how i3Works actions align with government legislation and guidelines. Made direct research contribution towards the SLT’s understanding of Social Value and the development of ‘model answers’ for the Sales Knowledge Base. This was positively received by The Head of Sales, who used this research in the National Lottery Community Fund bid, and will be used for future bid work.

Responsible for managing risks and opportunities for procurement and in-service support projects, within the Special Projects and Close Force Projection (SPCFP) and the Chinook delivery teams using the Active Risk Management (ARM) tool. Identified, prioritised, and mitigated risk. Held risk review meetings with a variety of stakeholders, and delivered risk and opportunity mitigation plans. Mentored teams on “how might we manage risk effectively” by holding focus groups and promoting good practice.

I worked for a wealth management firm, Meridian Capital Limited, for over ten years and subsequently developed considerable administrative experience and a firm understanding of all Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
