I coordinate with the… Show more Creating and implementing a vision for organizational governance to support sound executive decision making rooted in accountability, transparency, fairness and responsibility in order to facilitate the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and to meeting external obligations. The governance program incorporates the eight elements of a strong compliance program, as well as addressing subject matter risk areas pertinent to the company’s business and operations. I coordinate with the Designated Person Ashore to understand and support fleet governance issues as required.Specifically:• Develop, with the General Counsel, a vision and timeline for the creation and implementation of a governance program.• Create risk assessment and evaluation processes that include reports to the ARC senior executive team.• Execute a routine reporting cadence to enable transparency to internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate.• Support the development of standard operating procedures for all aspects of the company’s business.• Coordinate with HR and with commercial services to consider and develop and document due diligence processes for new hires, promotions and vendors.• Coordinate closely with HR and L&D personnel to develop effective training and communications strategies.• Coordinate with HR to develop and implement, as needed, a disciplinary process to address identified misconduct, to include a range of discipline from counseling to termination, as appropriate.• Support Learning & Development activities and act as an advocate for integrity-focused performance on the job.• Liaise as necessary with Government agencies and external stakeholders.
