Over the last decade I’ve worked in various accounting/finance roles supporting the wood products, paper, pulp and most recently, personal care business segments. I’ve held positions in a corporate headquarters, divisional offices, and at manufacturing facilities in both the U.S and Canada. I possess almost a decade of managerial experience leading accountants and financial analysts in both office and manufacturing environments. I strive to provide senior leadership with insights into both current and expected future financial results for informed decision making. In addition, I leverage my analytical capabilities and working knowledge with business intelligence platforms to find opportunities and offer solutions in assisting manufacturing and commercial teams achieve short and long-term profitability targets. One of my biggest strengths is the ability to break down communication barriers leading to enhanced business partnering through the development of effective working relationships with colleagues across business functions from regional finance teams, procurement, sales, marketing, human resources, and information technology. But ultimately my interests transcend debits and credits, reports, analysis, business support, managing teams and leading projects. As a company appointed mentor, I have a passion for developing future finance leaders along with giving back through active civic involvement. Because for me, finance isn’t just about numbers. Finance is about people and developing relationships both within the organization and the community.
