Domtar is the largest integrated manufacturer of uncoated paper manufacturer in North America and one of the largest pulp manufacturers in the world. Domtar is also a leading manufacturer of absorbent hygiene products primarily serving customers in North America and Europe. Currently, I lead the reporting and analysis function for Domtar’s $1B global Personal Care Division with sales to over 50 countries worldwide with manufacturing operations in the U.S., Sweden, and Spain. I’m responsible for articulating the divisional financial performance to senior leadership and provide supplementary analysis necessary for financial filings and communications for the 10-Q, MD&A, and Annual Report. I analyze market information and competitor disclosures in search of potential future growth opportunities. I lead the financial strategy development, business financing, forecasting, cash management, audit compliance and financial reporting for a joint venture in which Domtar partnered with an outside manufacturer to develop and bring to market new, absorbent-based products. I was instrumental in working with senior management on the design of cost-saving initiatives as part of a divisional margin improvement plan. In 2018, I had the privilege of being selected as a mentor in Domtar’s first company-wide program launch.

I was promoted from the senior analyst role and subsequently relocate to Raleigh, NC to lead team over the FP&A function for Domtar’s new Personal Care Division. Personal Care was originally comprised of three former private equity companies from the U.S. and Sweden which were acquired separately and consolidated to form the beginnings of the division. Two additional acquisitions were made in the U.S. and Spain shortly thereafter. I was tasked with managing the consolidation of the divisional results, creation of the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and analysis which emphasized sales, manufacturing cost drivers, SG&A spend, working capital and capital expenditures. I coordinated all financial deliverable timeline and requirements for the annual budget exercised, quarterly forecasting and other ad hoc projects.

I relocated to Plymouth, NC fluff pulp operations where I oversaw the financial management of lignin separation plant construction project, responsible for cost analysis and contractor audits. In addition, I managed the accounting of mill capital spending projects and provided management with monthly maintenance and energy cost analysis.
