Chris Ferguson is a commercial real estate professional with over 20 years of professional and investment experience. Chris founded Wolfram Development in 2020 to focus on urban infill ground up and adaptive reuse development. Based in Nashville, TN, Wolfram Development creates design focused mixed-use, multi-family, residential, office and retail assets in urban neighborhood environments. Prior to moving to Nashville, Chris worked as a commercial real estate broker in Chicago specializing in investment sales and leasing. He has worked with a variety of owners and users of commercial real estate. From 2006 - 2010, Chris worked as a Vice President of Capital Markets at Cohen Financial, a real estate investment bank. He specialized in structuring financing strategies and executing on debt, mezzanine and equity transactions. Chris underwrote and closed over $525 million of transactions and worked on a number of distressed debt restructurings. Prior positions held at Cohen Financial include Senior Analyst and Analyst; Chris was the recipient of Cohen’s “2007 Analyst of the Year”, having been selected out of 18+ Analysts.Prior to Cohen Financial, Chris worked for the developer J. Paul Beitler at the the Beitler Company and was a founding partner of Madison-LaSalle Advisory Group. Chris worked as a tenant representative broker, consulting with and representing small to medium-sized businesses and organizations in their real estate and leasing transactions. Chris started in the commercial real estate industry in 2002 as a Marketing Associate for Shorenstein Realty Services at their property the John Hancock Center in Chicago. In 2011, Chris founded Bee’s Knees Food Co. - a gourmet food company which produced packaged snacks with bold flavors. Bee’s Knees spicy & sweet nuts could be found in over 100 stores such as Whole Foods, Dean & Deluca and Murray’s Cheese Shop; breweries such as Temperance Beer Co., Half Acre Beer Co. and Empirical Brewery; beer-centric bars such as The Map Room in Chicago; and venues such as The Chicago Theatre. Chris graduated in 2001 from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a BSBA in Finance and Marketing. He lives in Nashville, TN with his wife Amelia and dogs Maddy and Olive. Chris is an active member of Urban Land Institute, serving as the Co-Chair of the Membership Committee, Member of the NEXT Steering Committee and Civic Leadership Forum. He also serves on the board of Music Venue Alliance Nashville (MVAN) - a non-profit dedicated to supporting independent music venues in the Greater Nashville Area.
