Held purchasing responsibility for $2M in printing and $1M in digital video services. "Organizational Turnaround"Transitioned entire Thirteen/WNET design group from a cost center to a revenue generator, as well as from a print-only to a video, web and print design group.Built and led an Emmy award-winning design group, 21 creative people who designed and produced 1,100 design and marketing communications projects annually for local, national and international TV.Led team that reinvented and successfully launched Thirteen’s corporate brand. Established group’s standards for desktop digital design, motion graphics and 2D/3D animation. Created new systems incorporating high speed digital technology. Created brands for 75+ national and international television series including Nature, Great Performances and American Masters. Member of the senior strategic planning team that designed and launched Thirteen HD; digital channels WLIW Create, WLIW World and KidsThirteen. Defined brand management tools for digital video on demand (VOD) service, Thirteen On Demand and Thirteen.org.Negotiated 5 union contracts with the Graphic Artists Guild. "New Business Start-up"Under Thirteen umbrella, built the external for-profit design business, Thirteen Creative ($2.5M). Won/managed projects with clients: General Electric, GM, ABC, HBO, TIAA, The Guggenheim Museum, The Intrepid Museum, and NYC River to River Festival. Show less
