Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Suburban Chicago, C+K Architecture was founded on the principal of service to its clients. C+K operates with the goal of exceeding our client’s expectations while delivering personalized one on one attention. Christopher Krestel, President, has amassed a portfolio of projects with a broad range of project types & size; including Hospitality, Residential, Higher Education, Corporate Interiors and Healthcare Facilities, ranging in size from 850 SF to 1,500,000 SF. C+K utilizes the latest in technology. All projects, regardless of size or scope are completed utilizing Building information Modeling (BIM). C+K believes in the use of technology to better control, design, cost and constructability.

Christopher Krestel was the Project Architect/Manager on a number of high profile projects including the North Central College: Wentz Concert Hall and Fine Arts Center; a 54,000 SF Performing Arts Center. The Center contains a 600-seat, acoustically sensitive concert hall, a 2,500 SF "black box" theater, music rehearsal rooms, classrooms, and offices. The building, with its complex angles both inside and out, was designed using Autodesk Architectural Desktop.Christopher Krestel also managed the documentation of the LSH BIM Pilot project, The University of Illinois: Springfield Founders Residence Hall. The project was the first project of LSH to entirely use BIM from schmetic design to construction administration. This new residence hall forms a courtyard with an existing residence hall to the east and provides 200 additional beds. The 62,600 SF building also includes a 4,000 SF bookstore, grill with seating for up to 60, and classroom spaces. A combination of single-occupancy and double-occupancy bedrooms is provided, and each pair of bedrooms has access to a shared restroom. Each floor has a lounge for use by the students of that floor, equipped with a galley kitchen. A green roof system improves air quality, conserves energy, reduces stormwater runoff, and helps reduce the urban heat island effect.
