Dr. Christopher Kuhlman is a Senior Toxicologist at CTEH® specializing in toxicology, crisis response, risk assessment, industrial hygiene, toxicity evaluations, and emergency response toxicology. He is the Director of CTEH's ER Sciences program. Dr. Kuhlman participates in a variety of projects, including evaluating the relationship between chemical exposure and disease, formulation of emergency response guides, and involvement in environmental contamination and toxic tort litigation.Dr. Kuhlman’s background includes a B.S. in Biochemistry from The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), with coursework focusing on physiology, chemistry, atmospheric and oceanic science, and microbiology. Upon graduation from UCLA, he worked at Bachem Americas, Inc. in Torrance, California as a Research and Development Chemist. In a good laboratory practice (GLP) environment, he was involved in the synthesis and purification of active pharmaceutical ingredients. His work experience triggered an interest in the mechanism of action and toxicity of chemicals and pharmaceuticals; which is why he moved to pursue a Ph.D. in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology from The University of Arizona.
