In the summer of 2003, I took an amazing trip from Washington D.C. to Las Vegas, traveling across North America using planes, trains, and automobiles. A close friend invited me to join this unique adventure because they recognized my caring and empathetic nature, which was essential for looking after two Scottish brothers with Friedreich's Ataxia.
