A versatile and “can do” team member, my entire two decade career has been in IT support roles where I enjoy backing up and enabling others to do their jobs.My broad generalist experience spans strong knowledge of all major systems deployed in varied settings from large complex sites with hundreds of users and specialist settings like medical centres, digital agencies, small and large retail chains with centrally managed POS systems, through to home networks for private clients.I have experience with all facets of typical IT infrastructure configurations, including Windows operating systems (both workstation and server) and their roles (including AD, DNS, Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, WSUS, WDS, SCCM, SCOM), as well as third party alternatives, and possess strong working knowledge of VMWare and Hyper-V virtualised stacks including typical backup solution (Veeam, Backup Exec, ShadowProtect). I also have extensive experience with Azure cloud solutions in both IAAS and SAAS capacities (Azure AD, Endpoint, EAM, Windows Virtual Desktop etc). This broad background means I am comfortable with software and hardware and able to grasp complex technical concepts and translate this understanding into actions to resolve issues and problems. I also possess the maturity and foresight to head off risks like potential threats to data security and can balance the “urgent” with the longer term “important” tasks. In particular I am known for creative low-cost solutions to ensure uptime within tight budget constraints.I am a personable, reliable, obliging and dedicated team member, easy to work with, poised under pressure with a strong sense of priority and focus on supporting and serving internal clients.
