● Developed research papers, policy submissions, briefing notes, and presentations on a broad range of natural catastrophe insurance topics● Authored full-length papers detailing holistic solutions to close the consumer insurance protection gap, address the contagion of the entire P&C industry following a catastrophic earthquake, and developed a multi-peril solution to tail-risk events in Canada● Oversaw an industry-wide survey and data collection project, which analyzed the state of Canada’s earthquake insurance marketplace. Carried out the survey design and execution, while managing an external consulting firm that protected the confidential data collected● Led committees composed of executive-level representatives from insurance companies. Successfully built consensus amongst competitor firms on key policy decisions● Held meetings, briefings, and collaborated with federal and provincial ministerial counterparts to develop solutions to Canada’s natural catastrophe risks

● Managed end-to-end research projects that require consultation with experts from the public and private sectors, curation and analysis of large data sets, generation of tangible policy recommendations, and communication of research results● For three years, led a team of up to four in the creation of the flagship annual publication, which analyses Ontario’s economy. These annual papers distilled productivity into component parts to be compared to relevant provincial and international jurisdictions. In addition to productivity, each report carried out an analysis of a secondary topic. These topics were Ontario’s recovery since the Great Recession, labour market participation of under-attached groups, and a deep-dive into four of Ontario’s most productive industries● Sole-authored a number of topic-specific research papers. Carried out project management duties including topic selection, workback timelines, document control, and the integration of feedback. The narrow focus of these papers allowed for a detailed exploration of each research topic, which included the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence, facilitating the best outcomes for immigrants, economic clusters, and growing small businesses.
